Following fellowship training, Dr. Khokhar served on the inpatient psychiatry team at the Cleveland Clinic, where he treated individuals with complex and treatment-resistant conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related illnesses, and co-occurring substance use disorders.
He later joined the neuropsychiatry and geriatric psychiatry service, providing specialized care for patients with neurodegenerative diseases, dementia, and late-life psychiatric conditions complicated by medical comorbidities.
In 2022, Dr. Khokhar joined UT Southwestern Medical Center as faculty, where he helped pioneer one of the nation’s first inpatient accelerated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) programs.
